Barri is an actor born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. He moved to Singapore to formally receive his training in the BA (Hons) Theatre Arts programme from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. During his studies, he has played Simon Shashava in Bertolt Brecht’s Caucasian Chalk Circle, Duke Orsino in William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and Silvio Lombardi in the Commedia dell’arte classic The Servant of Two Masters.  

In recent years, Barri has experimented with performing at an interactive dinner theatre and various students films. Barri is excited to make his stage debut with SRT’s Shakespeare in the Park in Julius Caesar.

Edward is a Master's graduate from the National University of Singapore's (NUS) Theatre Studies Programme with 18 years of experience as a professional actor. He played a leading role in the sci-fi television series 2025, and played the last emperor of the Ming dynasty in the series Great Wall, which was filmed on location in China for the Discovery Channel. He has appeared in TV advertisements for SingTel, Subway, and UIC, among others.  Edward's work in voiceovers started with Japanese anime for the US market in 2004, and he voiced the lead puppet (a talking coconut!) in Disney's award-winning Art Attack series in 2015. He has also voiced over 300 radio and TV ads. His other work includes a position as an adjunct lecturer at the National University of Singapore, and as a corporate trainer and role-player for MNCs and governments.  His roles on stage include Dr Goh Keng Swee in The LKY Musical, the Grand Eunuch in Forbidden City, and Paris in two productions of Romeo and Juliet. Tia is a multicultural story-teller. Being of Austrian and Singaporean descent, and having grown up in Singapore, Switzerland and Hong Kong, her passion lies in exploring multicultural identities.  Tia trained as an actor at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, during which time she played W1 in Samuel Beckett’s Play, directed by Sarah-Jane Scaife, Zhang Chunqiao in The Revolutionary Model Play 2.0, directed by Wang Chong (SIFA 2015), Elbow and Mariana in Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure, and the App in Swipe Right, directed by Claire Wong. Upon graduation, Tia has appeared in The Wedding Pig by Chelsea Cheo, and Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons by Sam Steiner, while also dabbling in voiceover, hosting, and commercial work. In her most unconventional show thus far, Tia appeared as a scuba-diving Sea Goddess playing with a dragon in a 12m-deep aquarium.  Tia dreams of living every story there is to be lived, be it first-hand, through others, or through the characters that she plays. She intends to pursue this later this year on a solo trip to Europe, during which she hopes to reconnect with her home(s), refine her craft, and develop a solo show (catch it in 2019, fingers crossed!).

Salif is of Australian and Malay descent, born and raised in Singapore. He began his professional career as part of the FIRST STAGE! Kids in Wild Rice’s 2005 production of OI! Sleeping Beauty! and starred in the Kids Central TV series Kids Rock and OKTO’s The Seekers. He received his formal training at LASALLE in the BA (Hons) Acting programme. Some notable credits whilst at LASALLE include, Moritz Steifel in Frank Wedekin’s Spring Awakening, The Beckett Project directed by Sarah Jane Scairfe and Swipe Right directed by Claire Wong. Salif is also a founding member of theatre collective KALEIDOCO since 2017, where he actively works to make a positive impact on youth theatre in Singapore. 

Sharda Harrison graduated from LASALLE College of The Arts with a B.A in Acting. She has acted for a range of local theatre companies in Singapore such as W!LD RICE, Cake Theatrical Productions, The Necessary Stage and Singapore Repertory Theatre.  

Sharda runs her own theatre and education company, Pink Gajah Theatre which she founded in 2013. Her most recent work under Pink Gajah Theatre is, Hayat commissioned by the M1 Fringe Festival 2018: Lets Walk. Sharda has performed internationally as an independent artist in Adelaide, Croatia, Indonesia and Malaysia and in Perth with Pink Gajah Theatre touring her company work, Temuan (The Meeting) at the Perth Fringe Festival. She has been nominated numerous times as best supporting actress at the Life! Theatre Awards and is part of the winning ensemble of W!LD RICE’s Hotel.

Jo is an actor, writer and the director of The Instant Café Theatre Company in KL. She has directed and created some of the company’s most iconic characters and plays. She has worked on a number of intercultural collaborations including two projects and research periods in Japan and Indonesia as an API fellow. She has toured works to Japan, New York, Australia, Singapore and conducted workshops in Taiwan and Brazil. She has directed several plays by Shakespeare including two outdoor productions in KL and had the opportunity to do workshops on Shakespeare in various cities in Brazil. As an actor she has enjoyed playing Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Mercutio as well as the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet, Winnie in Happy Days, Helen in Athol Fugard's The Road to Mecca, Paulina in Ariel Dorfman's Death and The Maiden, The Student in Ionesco's The Lesson, Sumathi in The Sandpit by KS Maniam, Poncia in The House of Bernarda Alba and Her in Raj and the End of Tragedy by Jo Kukathas. One person plays include Atomic Jaya, Election Day and Occupation by Huzir Sulaiman and From Table Mountain to Teluk Intan by Shahimah Idris. Thomas has one win (2018) and two nominations (2016, 2017) in the category of ‘Best Actor’ at the Life! Theatre Awards. He is very passionate about actor training and organizes for two collectives: Room to Breathe which produced a read of James Thoo’s Stool Pigeon, and 3in1—a jam space for working actors and directors. Thomas will next be performing in 13.13.13. at Theatreworks in June, and features in the science fiction television series Glitch on Toggle July 2018. 

Perry Felix Shen is an actor, a producer, a W!ILD RICE’s young & W!ILD survivor, a NUS Theatre Studies graduate and a drama educator. He started theatre at the age of 17, portraying what can only be described as the love child of a James Bond villain and a peacock.

As an actor, Perry has starred in W!LD RICE’s GEYLANG, NUS’ Petty People and young & W!ILD’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He also loves performing for young audiences and was recently in AK Theatre’s production for children, SingaRoar!  

As a producer, Perry has also co-founded Red Pill Productions. Red Pill’s original production, Let’s Get Back Together (L.G.B.T,) was part of W!LD RICE’s Singapore Theatre Festival (2016) and was a testimonial piece about the lives of L.G.B.T people in Singapore.  

As a drama educator, Perry specializes in working with people with special needs. He currently works closely with Very Special Theatrics, an all-inclusive theatre company that hires actors with special needs. He also loves working with preschoolers as when they hold his hand, his heart will inevitably melt.  

In time, Perry hopes that he will become a permanent fixture in the Singapore theatre industry, pretending to be a peacock villain, both on stage and in the classroom. 

Terrance Tan is an actor and filmmaker. He graduated from Lasalle College with a BA Honours in Musical Theatre where he played Zach in A Chorus Line, Clifford Bradshaw in Cabaret and Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening. His theatre credits include SRT’s The Nightingale, Toy Factory’s 881, Dream Academy’s Kumar: What makes a Man a Man and The Second Breakfast’s Lemmings. He has also assistant-directed for The Little Company’s 小红帽 (Little Red Riding Hood).  

His film editing credits include The Sam Willows - For Love music video, OKTO's The School Bell Rings and Channel 8's Busybody. He edited the short film Passengers, which swept half the awards at The 48 Hour Film Project, including Best Film, Best Cinematography and Best Directing. His edit work for the 3 part commercial web series To Moments Worth Celebrating was viewed over 20 million times on social media. His most recent web series Bobo’s 3 wishes, which he co-edited, was viewed over 5 million times on social media. In the same series, he also played Lord Yellowtail, a flamboyant anthropomorphic Chinese fish god.

29-year-old Vanessa has been working in the local entertainment scene since 2011. She is proudly represented by Fly Entertainment.  

After training with Singapore Repertory Theatre's The Young Company, Vanessa has branched out into television, film and hosting. Notable acting roles include Beverly Leong on Zero Calling (2014), Lady Sorga in Netflix’s Marco Polo (2014), Christine Yeoh on P.I. (2016) and Min Yi on two seasons of Lion Moms (2015, 2017).  

She made her silver screen debut in Sex.Violence.Family Values (2012), and had a lead role in telemovie Baby Bumps (2016). A seasoned presenter, she helmed The Final 1 (2013), covered The Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore for 2 years and served as co-anchor on Fox Sports Asia and Super Sports 360. Her last sports series, Boot Camp Champs (2016), saw her work in Taiwan, Spain, China, USA and Australia.  

In her personal life, Vanessa is mom to two cats and two foster kittens. She is also the Vice-President of Cat Welfare Society, and sits on the board of Ageless Theatre, a non-profit organization for active aging. She is currently expanding into writing scripts for television.

Vanessa is super excited to be back on stage after a long hiatus and hopes you will enjoy Julius Caesar as much as she has.

Julie Wee trained as an actor at The Victorian College of the Arts (VCA) Drama School in Melbourne.

Julius Caesar is Julie’s 5th Shakespeare in the Park with SRT. She’s played Portia in The Merchant of Venice, Miranda in The Tempest, Hero in Much Ado About Nothing and Bianca in Othello. Her other stage credits include Wild Rice’s Hotel and Romeo and Juliet (Juliet); Checkpoint Theatre’s Normal, The Good The Bad and The Sholay and The Way We Go; Toy Factory’s To Kill A Mockingbird (Scout) and The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor), Skinned Knee Productions' The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband, Our Company’s The Car and Take Off Productions' Mosaic.  

Her TV credits include series roles in Moulmein High, Light Years and the internationally distributed production A Gurl's Wurld. She also appeared in an episode of the Australian soap, Neighbours and was a scriptwriter for the Neptuno Films animation series Megaminimals.  Julie works as a host and as a professional voiceover artist who runs her own home studio. Companies that use her voice include Visa, SK-II, L’Oréal, Neutrogena and McDonald's. Julie has worked as a part time DJ on Class95.
