Experience Shakespeare like never before as SRT presents London’s longest-running comedy, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged). An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the best bits of the Bard’s plays. Join in the fun and merriment as three actors weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s 37 comedies, histories, and tragedies in one wild 97-minute ride that will leave you breathless with laughter.

THE BARD IS COMING HOME TO KC ARTS CENTRE AT ROBERTSON QUAY!
SRT has prided itself on being a trail-blazer in the industry. When the pandemic started 20 months ago, SRT was the first company to produce original digital content during the first Circuit Breaker with Coronalogues. After theatres had been closed for eight months, we were the first to re-open with Tuesdays with Morrie. After the next round of heightened measures, we brought you Lungs. Despite only being allowed to operate with 110 seats in our 380-seat venue, we ploughed ahead because we knew we were supporting our staff and the numerous freelancers who depend on us. We also wanted to keep our community engaged and inspired.
Since outdoor performances are still not allowed and our Shakespeare in the Park at Fort Canning had to be put on hold, we decided we would do Shakespeare in the Power Station!
But when the latest restrictions were announced last Friday, they had a huge impact on our ability to produce a larger-scaled event.
Even though we love the power station, we decided the financially prudent thing to do would be to move the show to our own venue in order to mitigate the risk. (The team at the power station have been great and very understanding. We look forward to staging something there as soon as we are allowed to operate at full capacity!)

Audio Described Performance: 13 November 2021, 6pm
An Audio Described performance is for patrons who are Blind or Vision Impaired, who require the theatre performance to be described live by a trained Audio Describer. The performance is verbally described and transmitted to the audience members through their own mobile phone device with earphones.

Captioned Performance: 20 November 2021, 6pm
Captioned performances are designed to cater to d/Deaf and Hard of Hearing patrons. In a captioned performance, the actors' speech and technical cues, such as sound effects and music, will be described with text displayed on a screen(s) located near the stage. The trained captioner will operate each show live to ensure they adapt to the unique elements of each performance. Seating is specially allocated to provide an optimal view of the performance and the caption screen(s).

Please be informed that pre-event testing (PET) is required for entry, regardless of age. If you are fully vaccinated (crossed the 14th day after your second dose) you are exempted. As there will be no service provided for PET onsite, kindly conduct your PET at MOH-approved clinics, and bring along a copy of your test results for verification. The results need to be valid till the end of the performance date and time you selected (within 24 hours). The patrons will pay for their testing.
To ensure everyone’s safety and well-being, the following measures will be in place at the venue: TraceTogether, SafeEntry, physical distancing, limiting audience numbers and cleaning and disinfection before and after every performance.
All patrons are required to use the TraceTogether app or to bring their TraceTogether token in order to enter the venue.

Erwin Shah Ismail graduated with a BA(Hons) in Acting at LASALLE College of the Arts in 2011 under the guidance of Edith Podesta. Today, he is a trilingual stage and screen actor, singer, voice artist as well as stuntman. Erwin has spent the last 10 years professionally doing an array of work; performed in more than 50 professional stage productions including musicals and appeared in over 20 different television series for local and international networks including AXN and HBO Asia.
Some notable theatre credits include Othello (SRT); Romeo & Juliet, La Cage Aux Folles (Wild Rice); Urinetown, Peter & The Starcatcher, Rent, Spring Awakening (Pangdemonium); Dark Room, Yusof, Off Centre, National Broadway Company (Esplanade); Murder at Mandai, Lord of the Flies, Boom (Sight Lines); Cafe, Mosaic (Take Off); The Great Wall (Glowsticks); The Last Bull (Checkpoint); 《天冷就回来》 (The Theatre Practice); and his very own one-man show Kulit on the Go.
He has voiced a variety of projects including cartoons, children’s books, as well as commercials. Aside from being a multi-faceted performer, he is a stuntman for Action Horizons Stunts portraying multiple roles in the renowned Waterworld Live Stunt Show at Universal Studios, Singapore. Recently, he added director to his list of roles. In the past year alone, he has directed a musical revue as well as 3 short films including Views commissioned by The Straits Times for 30 Days of Art.

Tia is a multicultural actor, teacher, and co-founder of theatre collective, The Assembly Point. Being Singaporean and Austrian, and having grown up in Singapore, Switzerland and Hong Kong, everywhere and nowhere are home all at once.
Tia trained at LASALLE College of the Arts and received a BA(Hons) in Acting from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2017. Her theatre credits include Julius Caesar (dir. Guy Unsworth), Rubber Girl on the Loose (dir. Natalie Hennedige), Broadway Beng: Last Beng Standing (dir. Selena Tan), and The Amazing Celestial Race (dir. Glen Goei). She has sung, danced, roller-bladed, and scuba-dived in performances, and hopes that flying is up next!
While most at home on stage, Tia also pursues acting in film, television, and commercials (does a car hanging off the edge of a cliff ring a bell?), as well as voiceovers and hosting. When she isn’t doing any of the above, she has the pleasure of teaching both children and adults about the magic of theatre.
Tia takes a keen and urgent interest in sustainability, and believes in the power of listening to one another. One of her favourite quotes from Shakespeare’s work reads “Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.”
Shane Mardjuki was seen in the theatre production titled The Rise and Fall of Little Voice by Pangdemonium, Private Parts and Army Daze written by Michael Chiang and directed by Beatrice Chia. Othello, The Pillowman as well as Julius Caesar by The Singapore Repertory Theatre and Lord of the Flies, directed by Samantha-Scott BlackHall for Escape Theatre. One of the many productions include a lead role on What The Butler Saw, an award-winning comedy that knits together dysfunctional family relationships, laws of attraction, notions of sanity, identity and authority in an exceedingly comic fashion. Not forgetting Victor Victoria where he’s cast alongside international jazz sensation Laura Fygi!
One of his film appearances was in Unlucky Plaza which was the Opening Film of the Singapore International Film Festival 2014, that was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival 2014. Some other films include Wonderboy, an autobiographical of Singaporean music legend Dick Lee and Republic of Food, a comedy film about Singaporeans and local food by the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI).
Shane was also seen regionally in HBO Asia’s original horror mini-series Grace, HBO Asia’s first comedy-drama series SeNT and as the male lead for Mediacorp’s webseries After Love. Shane can also be seen on the series Mixed Signals, an adaptation of the play by Michael Chiang as well as Suria channel for Tai Tai Berkecai. Other than on-screen acting, Shane also lent his voice to the animated series Downstairs by Robot Playground Media.

Dennis has appeared in Fat Kids Are Harder to Kidnap 2021 (How Drama), Bull (W!LD RICE), The Hawker (The Second Breakfast Company), La Mariposa Borracha (Gateway Theatre), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Engineer Theatre). He also writes raps from time to time and you can view his content on his Instagram page (@densofian). Dennis trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
