Singapore Repertory Theatre is thrilled to announce that Por Por’s Big Fat Surprise Wedding has been invited to OzAsia Festival in Adelaide this November!  

This unique dinner theatre experience, rooted in vibrant Singaporean culture, is set to charm audiences Down Under. We're proud to showcase our local talents and this unique Singapore dinner theatre experience on an international stage.  

Por Por’s Big Fat Surprise Wedding was celebrated as "a triumph" by The Straits Times for its Singapore premiere in November 2023. Tatler Singapore labelled it "the wedding bash of the year" and was hailed as "a riotous dinner theatre" by Bakchormeeboy.  

The show is penned by local playwright and actress Jo Tan, who won the 2022 ST Life Theatre Awards for Best Actress and Best Original Script. She will also perform in this production, adding a personal touch to the story. The 2023 production was directed by Singapore icon Dick Lee, who brought his unique flair to the piece. For the OzAsia premiere, we are excited to have Chong Tze Chien as the Associate Director.
