The play is directed by Amir Nizar Zuabi, a Jewish Palestinian. He is known for the Little Amal project, an internationally celebrated 12-foot-tall puppet.

Little Amal represents a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl traveling across the world. Her journey carries a message of hope and compassion for displaced people everywhere.
