Readers’ Theatre

Using scripts and poems, students will improve in their reading fluency and learn about performance skills such as vocal variety and gestures. The workshop caters to students of all reading abilities.

Schools can select their preferred text(s) for the programme. The workshop can be conducted digitally or in-person at your school’s preferred venue. A blended option of in-person and digital is also available.

Duration: 1-hour per session

Age Group: 7 to 12 years old

Recommended Class Size: 20

No. of Sessions: 1 or more

This workshop is available year-round and is applicable for subsidy under the NAC-AEP Tote Board grant.

Lesson Goals:

• Learn and apply the basic elements of Reader’s Theatre, to develop their speech and stage presence when presenting.
• Express their creativity individually or as an ensemble through speech, movement, and facial expressions.
