Students will explore how dialogue and characters are developed from Page to Stage! They will participate in theatre exercises such as movement, voice work, and role play. This allows them to understand how to physicalise a character and create scenes for performances.
Schools can select their preferred text for the workshop ranging from Shakespeare text, play scripts, or written novels.
The workshop can be conducted digitally or in-person at your school’s preferred venue. A blended option of in-person and digital is also available.
Duration: 3-hours per session

This workshop is available year-round and is applicable for subsidy under the NAC-AEP Tote Board grant.
Lesson Goals:
- Explore and understand the chosen texts through Drama techniques such as Tableaux, Storytelling, and Characterisation.
- Collaborate as a group to share ideas and present an excerpt of the chosen text using learnt performance skills.
