Developing Physicality


Physical theatre allows students to uncover the possibilities of movement in theatre to tell stories. Students will explore exercises such as contact improvisation, weight bearing and use of gestures to devise a movement presentation.

Participants will:

  • Learn movement techniques to support their understanding of physical theatre
  • Understanding the use of physical theatre as a storytelling tool
  • Develop confidence in applying movement within their devised pieces
  • Develop knowledge of ensemble training through movement exercises

Level: Secondary 1 – 5, JC students
Duration: 3 hours
