Close to 25,000 people attended The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, making it a wildly successful sold-out run! We thank all of you for the support, and we hope you’ve enjoyed the glimpse into Christopher Boone’s world.

SINGAPORE PREMIERE OF THE NATIONAL THEATRE’S OLIVIER AND TONY AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTION JOINTLY PRESENTED BY SINGAPORE REPERTORY THEATRE AND ESPLANADE – THEATRES ON THE BAY

In Singapore for the first time, the National Theatre stages its acclaimed production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the winner of five Tony Awards and seven Olivier Awards, including Best Play, Best Director and Best Design. Tony Award-winner Marianne Elliott (War Horse) directs this “triumphant” (Sunday Telegraph) adaptation by two-time Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens who brings Mark Haddon’s internationally best-selling novel to life on stage.

“It's a story about difference, about being an outsider, about seeing the world in a surprising and revealing way.” – Mark Haddon

Fifteen-year-old Christopher Boone has an extraordinary brain, is exceptional at math, but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road. He detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. When Christopher falls under suspicion for killing his neighbour’s dog, his detective work to identify the true culprit takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.

Hailed as “a phenomenal combination of storytelling and spectacle” by The Times, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is a theatrical experience not to be missed.

*Relaxed Performance: 8 Apr, Sun, 2pm
Anyone can attend a Relaxed Performance. The performance is designed for anyone who will benefit from a more ‘relaxed’ theatre environment such as people on the autistic spectrum, those with sensory and communication difficulties or a learning disability. Sound and lighting cues are modified to be less startling. Leaving the auditorium to take a break is fine and there is a designated Quiet Area available. There is an easy-going attitude to noise and movement, doors remain open and lights are dimmed staying on throughout the show. Preshow resources (Visual Story) are available to help you prepare for your visit. There will be a Q&A session with the cast after the performance.
