Step into the colourful, chic, flamboyant and fabulously over-the-top-world of Threads: The Emperor’s New Clothes Musical! - a fresh, fashionable fun twist to the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale that’s perfect for kids and parents alike!

Meet Millie, a bright young fashion designer with big dreams. But there’s one problem—Arnold Wintor, the powerful editor of Emperor Magazine whose ego is as inflated as an overstuffed puffer jacket and his delusions are as grand as his magazine empire. Arnold’s used to getting his way, and after he discovers Millie’s unique fashion label, Threads, he has designs on a take-over. But Millie hatches a clever plan to show the world that even the most powerful can be brought down a peg (or two).

Will Millie’s dreams to be a world class designer come true? Will Arnold learn his lesson? Or will the emperor end up with no clothes?

With a toe-tapping score, laugh-out-loud moments, and a playful story about creativity, courage, and standing up to bullies, Threads: The Emperor’s New Clothes Musical is a fun, fashionista-filled adventure the whole family will enjoy.

Relaxed Performance (RP):

A RP is designed to allow patrons a more ‘relaxed’ theatre environment. Patrons who may benefit from this performance include those on the Autistic spectrum, living with Dementia and patrons with diverse learning and communication needs.

A visual story is available as part of a Relaxed Performance. It provides details on the performance and venue for those who wish to familiarise themselves with what to expect prior to their visit. Please note that the visual story includes story details/spoilers which may impact your experience of the production. Rating / Age Limit

This show is recommended for 3-year-olds and above.
If parents wish to bring their infant-in-arm or children below the age of 3, purchase tickets will still be required.
For the audience’s enjoyment of the show, parent of children who are excessively noisy will be encouraged to bring them out of the theatre until they are ready to come back in. We seek your kind understanding on this matter.
Strictly no admission without ticket.

Late Seating Advisory

Please be seated 15 minutes before the performance starts.
Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable time.

Photography / Video Recording Rules

No photography, video and/or audio recording are allowed during the performance.

Additional Information

Wheelchair access is only available in the Stall seats.
There is a glass panel in front of Row AA at the Circle seats section.
Left and right balcony seats in the Circle are SINGLE seats in a row.
Balcony BL/1-2 and Balcony BR/1-2 at the Circle seats section are restricted view seats.
No outside food or beverages are allowed in the theatre. Only drinks purchased from the bar are permitted inside.

Booster Seats

Booster seats are available on a first-come-first-served basis. They are not guaranteed and are not included with the purchase of your ticket. Patrons are welcome to bring their own booster seats.
