Stage Camp by SRT Centre for Creative Learning

Stage Camp by SRT Centre for Creative Learning is a devising-based programme that takes on a child-centred, process-first approach leading up to an informal stage showcase on the final day.

Together with an experienced teaching artist, your young actor(s) will explore the following skills and key competencies…

Self-Awareness & Emotional Recognition: Learn to identify and express emotions, helping children develop a better understanding of themselves and others through storytelling and creative play.
Social Awareness & Kindness: Build empathy by recognizing the feelings and perspectives of others, fostering a sense of responsibility and kindness in group activities.
Responsible Decision-Making & Moral Values: Explore values like honesty, respect, and courage through stories, encouraging children to make thoughtful choices that benefit both themselves and those around them.

Week 1: The Legend of Redhill (Conducted in Mandarin)

This week, prepare for an adventure full of bravery and fairness! In The Legend of Redhill, young actors will discover the power of standing up for what’s right—no matter how tough it gets! Through fun games and imaginative play, they’ll learn how a brave boy challenged the odds and changed history. Get ready to dive into a story that proves even the smallest voice can make the biggest impact!

Week 2: The Mythical Isle of Kusu (Conducted in Mandarin)

Who says kindness can’t move mountains? In The Mythical Isle of Kusu, young actors will discover the incredible power of selflessness and kindness! As they bring the story to life through role play, they’ll learn how the turtle’s big-hearted act saved lives and created an island! Join us for a week of fun adventures that teach how giving without expecting anything in return can create ripples of kindness everywhere!

Week 3: The Lion City Awakens (Conducted in Mandarin)

Roar into the story of The Lion City Awakens and discover the values of courage and curiosity! Campers will follow the brave prince who, with one lion sighting, sparked the founding of a nation! Through fun storytelling and creative exploration, young actors will see how curiosity and courage helped shape Singapore, and how they too can embrace new ideas and take on challenges with a bold heart!

Week 4: Badang and the Stone of Power (Conducted in English)
It’s not just about being strong—it’s about never giving up and always trying your best! This week, campers will jump into the exciting story of Badang and how he used his strength and determination to do something incredible! Through fun, hands-on activities, young actors will learn how a can-do attitude can help them tackle any challenge, big or small. Get ready for an adventure where strength comes from staying positive and always pushing forward!
